This Code of Conduct sets out how we expect students to behave in our live classes, on our learning platform, and in our WhatsApp and Telegram community groups.
In short: treat other students and mentors as you would colleagues on a ward. Do not share course material with anyone. Do not circulate exam recalls. Do not post patient information. Do not use our groups to advertise. If someone makes you uncomfortable, tell us.
It applies to every enrolled student and forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. Why We Have This Code
Our courses bring together several hundred doctors from many countries in a shared learning space. Most of them will never meet in person, but they will spend four months in the same classroom and the same group chat.
That only works if everyone holds to the same standards. This Code exists so that those standards are written down rather than assumed, and so that you know what to expect from us if something goes wrong.
1.1 The underlying principle. You are a medical professional. Conduct yourself here as you would in a clinical department, a teaching round, or a professional meeting. Almost everything in this Code follows from that.
1.2 Where it applies. This Code covers our live sessions, our learning platform, our WhatsApp and Telegram groups, and any direct contact you have with mentors or staff in connection with your course.
2. Professional Standards We Expect
As an enrolled student, you agree to:
- treat every other student, mentor, and member of staff with courtesy and respect;
- give accurate information about your identity, qualifications, and post;
- participate honestly, and ask questions freely without disparaging others for theirs;
- keep discussion relevant to the course and to examination preparation;
- follow reasonable instructions from mentors and moderators; and
- tell us promptly if you become aware of a breach of this Code.
2.1 Disagreement is welcome. Clinical debate is part of learning, and mentors expect to be questioned. What matters is how you disagree, not whether you do.
3. Conduct in Live Sessions
3.1 Punctuality. Join on time. Late arrivals disrupt the session for everyone.
3.2 Your microphone. Keep your microphone muted unless you are speaking. Background noise from a ward, a car, or a household affects several hundred people at once.
3.3 Your display name. Use your real name, or a recognisable version of it, so mentors know who they are speaking to.
3.4 Recording. You must not record, screen-capture, stream, or otherwise reproduce any live session by any means. This is the single most serious breach in this Code and results in immediate termination without refund.
3.5 Being recorded. Our sessions are recorded and shared with your cohort. If you do not wish to appear, keep your camera and microphone off and use the text chat. See our Privacy Policy.
3.6 The chat. Session chat is for questions and academic discussion. It is not for side conversations, promotional links, or commentary about other participants.
3.7 Moderation. Mentors and moderators may mute or remove any participant who disrupts a session. This is not a punishment; it is how a class of this size stays usable.
4. Conduct in Community Groups
Our WhatsApp and Telegram groups exist so students can ask questions, share study approaches, and support each other between sessions.
4.1 Your number is visible. In a WhatsApp group, your phone number is visible to every other member. Joining is optional and you lose no course access by staying out. See our Privacy Policy.
4.2 Keep it on topic. Post about the course, the examination, and your studies. Religious, political, and sectarian content does not belong in these groups, whatever your view.
4.3 No forwarding. Do not forward course material, session links, credentials, or recordings into any group — including groups run by other students. See Section 5.
4.4 Do not harvest contacts. Do not collect, export, or reuse the phone numbers of other members for any purpose.
4.5 No unsolicited direct messages. Do not message other members privately to sell, recruit, promote, or proselytise. Academic questions are fine.
4.6 Volume. Avoid repeated messages, unnecessary forwards, chain messages, and good-morning graphics. Several hundred people receive every message you send.
4.7 Moderation. We moderate these groups. We may delete messages, remove members, or close a group where this Code is breached.
5. Course Material
Our teaching material is our livelihood, and unauthorised sharing directly harms both us and the students who paid for access.
5.1 It is licensed to you personally. Your access is for your own examination preparation only, for the duration of your diet.
5.2 What you must not do. Do not record, screenshot, photograph, transcribe, download, copy, upload, republish, sell, or share any lecture, note, question bank item, or recording, and do not share your login with anyone.
5.3 Traceability. Course material may carry identifiers linking a copy to the account that accessed it.
5.4 Consequences. Distribution of course material results in immediate termination of access without refund, and we reserve all legal remedies.
5.5 If you see it happening. If you come across PrepXperts material circulating outside our platform, please tell us. We will treat your report in confidence.
6. Academic Integrity
6.1 No exam recalls. Do not post, request, or circulate examination recalls, leaked papers, or any material obtained in breach of an examining body's rules. This applies in our groups, our sessions, and any private contact arising from them.
6.2 Why this matters. Circulating recalls is a breach of the rules of every examining body we prepare students for. Students have been referred to their regulator for it. We will not host it.
6.3 Our own material. Our questions and scenarios are written by our mentors. They are designed to build reasoning, not to predict papers, and should not be represented as actual examination content.
6.4 Honest assessment. Do not share answers during timed assessments or help another student circumvent assessment integrity measures.
7. Respect, Harassment and Discrimination
7.1 What is not acceptable. Harassment, bullying, intimidation, sexual advances, persistent unwanted contact, and abusive or humiliating language have no place here, in public or in private messages arising from our groups.
7.2 Discrimination. We do not tolerate content or conduct that demeans anyone on the basis of nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or place of training. Our students come from many countries and training systems, and every one of them paid the same fee.
7.3 Mentors are not exempt. These standards apply to our mentors and staff as much as to students. If a mentor behaves inappropriately, report it and we will act.
8. Contacting Mentors
8.1 Through the right channels. Direct academic questions to mentors through the session chat, the platform, or the channels we provide.
8.2 Do not solicit. Do not approach mentors for private tuition, employment, referrals, letters of recommendation, or services outside the Academy.
8.3 Personal contact details. Do not use contact details for a mentor obtained through our platform or groups to contact them personally.
8.4 Clinical advice. Mentors teach; they do not provide clinical advice on your patients or medical advice on your own health. Please do not ask them to.
9. Privacy of Others
9.1 No patient information. Do not post identifiable patient details — names, hospital numbers, dates, photographs, or scans containing identifiers — in any session, chat, or group. Anonymise fully before discussing a case.
9.2 No screenshots of other students. Do not screenshot, share, or repost another student's messages, image, or contributions outside the group they were shared in.
9.3 Your own information. Take care what you post about yourself. Several hundred people can see it, and messages persist on their devices after you leave.
10. Commercial Activity and Solicitation
10.1 No advertising. Do not promote or sell any course, product, service, book, subscription, or event in our sessions or groups, including your own.
10.2 No recruitment. Do not use our groups to recruit for jobs, other courses, research studies, or study groups run for payment.
10.3 No referral schemes. Do not post affiliate links, referral codes, or fundraising appeals.
10.4 Asking first. If you believe something genuinely benefits the cohort, message us and ask. We will sometimes say yes.
11. Reporting a Concern
If something here concerns you, tell us. You do not need to be certain, and you do not need to have been the target.
11.1 How to report. Message us on WhatsApp at +92 3164500454 or email info@prepxpertsonline.com. Mark it "Conduct concern" so it reaches the right person.
11.2 What to include. Where possible, tell us what happened, roughly when, and who was involved. Screenshots help, but do not put yourself in an uncomfortable position to obtain them.
11.3 Confidentiality. We will handle your report discreetly and will not identify you to the person concerned without discussing it with you first, unless we are legally required to.
11.4 No retaliation. Nobody will lose access, be removed from a group, or be treated differently for making a report in good faith.
12. How We Respond
12.1 Proportionate response. Most issues are minor and resolved with a quiet word. We escalate only where we need to.
12.2 The range of actions. Depending on what happened, we may issue a private reminder, delete content, mute or remove you from a group, remove you from a live session, suspend your platform access, or terminate your enrolment.
12.3 Immediate termination. Distribution of course material, circulation of exam recalls, credential sharing, and serious harassment result in immediate termination without refund.
12.4 No refund on termination for breach. Where enrolment is terminated under this Code, no refund is payable. See our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
12.5 Reporting onward. Serious matters, including circulation of examination material and conduct that may amount to a criminal offence, may be reported to the relevant examining body, regulator, or authority.
13. If You Disagree with a Decision
13.1 Ask us to look again. If you believe we have acted unfairly, write to us within 14 days at info@prepxpertsonline.com setting out why.
13.2 What we will do. Someone who was not involved in the original decision will review it wherever that is possible, and we will respond in writing.
13.3 Interim position. A suspension normally remains in place while a review is under way.
