Three exams stand between you and MRCOG. Two written papers on a computer, then a clinical circuit, taken in that order. We teach Part 1 and Part 2 live, on a schedule built around the RCOG sitting you are aiming for.
MRCOG is the membership examination of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. You earn it by passing two computer-based written exams and one clinical assessment.
The parts are sequential. You pass Part 1 before you can book Part 2, and Part 2 before Part 3. There is no exemption for doctors who hold another O&G qualification; the College closed that route in 2006.
In the UK, MRCOG is the gate between core and higher specialty training. The College describes it as the gold standard qualification in O&G, and doctors across Pakistan and the Gulf sit it for that reason.
Full regulations, dates and fees are published by the College at rcog.org.uk.

First-time candidates send an attested copy of their medical degree. The deadline falls about four months before the exam: 16 March 2027 for the July 2027 sitting.
A new form is needed for every sitting, resits included. For July 2027 it closes on 30 March 2027.
RCOG emails eligible candidates a booking link. Pearson VUE seats are first come, first served.
Part 2 needs its own expression of interest, but no second eligibility check.
Assessment of Training must be approved before you can apply for Part 3. You can submit it any time after passing Part 1.
You must attempt it within seven years of passing Part 2.

RCOG sets the fee by the country of your test centre, not the country you live in. A doctor working in Riyadh who flies home and sits in Lahore pays the Pakistan rate. India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Egypt share Pakistan's band; the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain are in Band A.
Rupee figures are a guide only, converted at £1 = Rs 366.63 and rounded to the nearest hundred. Your bank will apply its own rate and card charges on the day, so budget above the figure shown.

Part 3 is where MRCOG is awarded. It is a circuit of 14 tasks, each 12 minutes long including two minutes to read. Some tasks put you in front of a trained actor playing a patient or colleague; others are a structured discussion with a clinical examiner. Every task is marked across domains such as patient safety, communication and applied clinical knowledge.

Part 1, then Part 2, then Part 3. The College does not let you book a part until you have passed the one before it.
Any doctor with a recognised primary medical degree. You do not need GMC registration or an O&G training post, which is why many doctors sit Part 1 during house job or early residency.
The written exams run in January and in June or July, and Part 3 runs in May and November. The calendar lets a candidate who passes each part first time finish in a little over a year. Part 3 also needs an approved Assessment of Training, so most working doctors should plan on longer.
The RCOG regulations allow six attempts at Part 1 and six at Part 2. After four unsuccessful attempts at Part 3, Part 2 has to be passed again. Read the regulations.
Yes, for the written parts. The June 2026 Part 1 list had Pearson VUE centres in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Gujrat. Part 3 runs only at College venues, which change with every diet.
At 2027 fees, a candidate sitting Parts 1 and 2 in Pakistan pays £613 for each. Part 3 costs £964 at a Band B venue or £1,034 at a Band A venue such as Abu Dhabi. That is £2,190 to £2,260 in exam fees, roughly Rs 8 to 8.3 lacs, before travel.
Yes. The College grants no exemptions, so every candidate sits all three parts. Many doctors in Pakistan sit MRCOG alongside their FCPS training.
MRCOG is a route many overseas doctors use to apply for GMC registration, alongside English language evidence. The GMC’s rules change, so check its current guidance before you plan around it.
Rs 30,000 for the MRCOG Part 1 Long Course, with instalments available. Message us on WhatsApp for the current sitting’s fee.
